About Copper Sky Dental — Your Dentist Near Sun City Since 1976

Copper Sky Dental is a locally owned, privately operated dental practice at 9431 W Thunderbird Rd, Peoria, AZ 85345 — approximately 10 minutes from Sun City and Sun City West. Founded in 1976 by Dr. Robert Holyoak, the practice has served adults and seniors in the West Valley for nearly 50 years. Dr. Lisa Kubik joined the practice to continue its mission of honest, unhurried, community-rooted dental care. The practice accepts most major dental insurance plans, including many Medicare Advantage dental plans, and is open Monday through Thursday, 7 AM to 3 PM.

Dr. Robert Holyoak, DMD

Dr. Robert Holyoak earned his dental degree from the University of Oregon Dental School in 1974 after completing his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University. He founded his practice in the Sun City area in 1976 and has served the West Valley continuously for nearly 50 years — one of the longest-tenured dentists in the region.

Dr. Holyoak's clinical focus is general dentistry, restorative care, and senior dental care. A significant portion of his patients are adults over 60 from Sun City, Sun City West, and surrounding communities. He has spent decades treating the dental concerns most common among older adults, including dry mouth, gum disease, worn restorations, and tooth loss.

Dr. Holyoak has lived and practiced in the West Valley his entire career. His philosophy is straightforward: recommend only what a patient actually needs, explain every option honestly, and never pressure anyone into unnecessary treatment. Dentistry runs deep in his family — two of his brothers practice dentistry in the Valley, both of his sons are dentists, and both of his daughters are dental hygienists.

Dr. Lisa Kubik, DMD

Dr. Lisa Kubik earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona. Before pursuing dentistry, she attended the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse and worked in personal banking. Her perspective on dental care changed when she became an adult orthodontic patient and experienced firsthand the impact that quality, compassionate dental treatment can have on a person's life.

Dr. Kubik joined Copper Sky Dental because she wanted to be part of a community-first practice — not a corporate office. Her clinical focus is patient comfort, senior dental care, and restorative dentistry. She takes pride in creating a welcoming environment where patients feel heard and never rushed, and she is known for explaining procedures clearly so patients understand their options before making decisions.

Dr. Kubik and her husband have made Arizona their permanent home and are raising their two daughters and son in the West Valley. She is committed to continuing the practice's tradition of honest, relationship-driven dental care for adults and families in Sun City, Sun City West, Peoria, and surrounding communities.
